Back to Berlin

A few weeks ago, Delphine Galou gave her remarkable debut at the opera in Frankfurt in the title role of Orlando furioso by Vivaldi. Press review.

On this occasion, the Neuer Merker states that Delphine Galou "lets stream her magnificent contralto voice with relish. Seamlessly, the baroque specialist offers a warm, flexible and masterful voice in the  coloratura, with full deep sounds and flying heights." (12.02.2014) The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung adds that "Delphine Galou does not only impress with her virtuosic technique but also with her art of subtle colours, particularly in the scenses of frenzy." (14.02.2014). The Frankfurter Neue Presse praises that "the voice and theatrical performance of Delphine Galou fuse into a convincing unity. All along this complicated double love triangle, she finds her place in the set of characters, discreetly but not inconspicuously, and asserts herself positively until the finale."(14.02.2014)

Two years after having participated in the premiere of Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno by Händel (role of Disinganno) at the Berlin State Opera, Delphine Galou is back in the German capital with Les Musiciens du Louvre Grenoble for the revival of the production. The conductor is Sébastien Rouland. Performances on 7, 9 and 11 June 2014. Dates of all performances
